Every integration in Audience Management can send a selection of reader fields to the connected service, where they can drive segments, automations, and reports. This page lists each field, what it holds, and when it changes.

To choose which fields an integration sends, go to Audience → Integrations, open the integration, and use the outgoing fields list in the Outbound section. Each integration keeps its own selection. Fields marked New in that list were added or renamed in the current set of fields.

How fields reach the integration

  • The integration receives each field under the name shown here, with the integration’s Metadata field prefix in front. With the default prefix, Registration Date arrives as NP_Registration Date. ActiveCampaign matches fields by personalization tag instead; see the ActiveCampaign page.
  • A field is sent only while it is enabled for that integration. Disabling a field stops future updates; it does not clear the value the service already holds.
  • A reader’s fields are recalculated and sent together whenever a sync runs for that reader. Syncs run on registration, login, checkout, subscription and donation changes, newsletter list changes, and during a backfill.
  • A field that does not apply to a reader is sent empty, which clears the value at the service. The exceptions say so below.
  • Dates are written as YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS in the site’s timezone.

Subscription

These fields need WooCommerce Subscriptions and cover non-donation subscriptions only. They describe the reader’s current subscription: the most recent active one, or, when none is active, the most recent on-hold, cancelled, or expired one. A gift subscription is passed over when the reader also has one of their own. Subscriptions the reader only belongs to as a group member are not counted.

Because a cancelled or expired subscription can be the current one, its dates, frequency, and amount stay in place after cancellation. Use Subscriber Status to tell the two apart.

Donation

These fields need WooCommerce Subscriptions and cover donations only. Recurring donations follow the same current subscription rule as above. When the reader has no recurring donation, Donor Status, the product name, and the last donation fields fall back to their most recent one-time donation.

Content Access

FieldWhat it holdsExample

Content Access SourceWhat grants the access, such as a subscription product name, group, or institution, separated by commas. Empty when access is No.Digital Supporter
Content Access GroupThe group subscription or institution granting the access, when that is the source.Acme University

Legacy fields

Sites that synced reader data before the current set of fields keep sending these, so existing selections and the automations built on them keep working. Each one has a replacement above; enable the replacement, then untick the legacy field once the automations that use it have been updated. Account, Connected Account, Registration Date, and Registration Page carry the same value under the same name in both sets, so they can be enabled from either group.

The payment fields here look at the reader’s current product of any type. That is the active subscription, then the most recent cancelled or expired subscription, then the most recent one-time donation. A field that does not apply to that product is sent empty.
