With Newspack’s reader activation system, publishers can offer readers the ability to purchase subscriptions as gifts directly in the checkout flow. This feature works seamlessly with the modal checkout and enables easy input of recipient details, such as email addresses, ensuring a smooth gifting experience for both the buyer and the recipient.
When gift subscriptions are enabled, a checkbox will appear at the bottom of the Modal Checkout when readers purchase a subscription. Checking that will allow them to enter the email address of the gift recipient.
